Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of Buiséad. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. Please read them alongside our Privacy Policy.

What Buiséad is

Buiséad is a personal budgeting tool that helps you track your accounts, bills and spending, and see where your balances are heading. It works offline-first and syncs when you're online.

Not financial advice

Buiséad is an organisational tool, not a bank, accountant or financial adviser. Projections and figures are estimates based on the information you enter and may not be accurate. You are responsible for your own financial decisions. Always check your actual bank balance before acting on anything you see in the app.

Your account

You're responsible for keeping your password and device secure and for the activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has gained access. You must provide accurate sign-up details and be at least 16 years old.

Free features and Pro

The core budgeting features are free. Some features carry a real per-use cost to us — currently the AI features — and are offered with a small free monthly allowance, with unlimited use available through a paid Pro subscription. Where you subscribe via Apple, billing, renewals and cancellations are handled by Apple under the terms of the App Store and your Apple account; manage or cancel your subscription there. Prices may change with notice.

Acceptable use

Please don't misuse the service — for example by trying to break, overload, reverse-engineer or gain unauthorised access to it, or by using it unlawfully. We may suspend accounts that do.

Your content

The data you enter remains yours. You grant us only the permission needed to store and process it so we can provide the app to you (see the Privacy Policy). The app itself, its design and its code remain our intellectual property.

Availability

We work to keep Buiséad running but can't guarantee it will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free. The service is provided "as is" without warranties to the fullest extent allowed by law.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app — including financial decisions made using it — beyond what is required by applicable consumer law. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Ending your use

You can stop using Buiséad and delete your account and data at any time from within the app. We may suspend or end access if these terms are breached.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and the Irish courts will have jurisdiction, without affecting any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have where you live.

Changes

We may update these terms; we'll change the date above and, for material changes, let you know. Continued use means you accept the updated terms.
